With a monopolistic player like MS which signs a lot of deals to ensure that various software are available for its platform only, GNU/Linux community try to create options. But owing to the penetration of Windows most companies offer solution only for MS platform or MacOS. Now, how do you expect the GNU/Linux engineers to write a driver, when cos like Brodcam don't even give specs of its wireless chips? How do you expect the Linux warrior to write drivers for it? Purely non-commercial Debians are doing is just for the sake of a movement! Now, do you want to change the world or stay in the dystopian world of Windows -- which actually closes windows to all options?
